New Orleans Saints’ tight end, Jimmy Graham, was arrested in Southern California on Friday night following a medical episode, according to an announcement from the team on Saturday.
The arrest came after Graham displayed erratic behavior, as reported by TMZ. After a medical evaluation, the Saints’ organization believes that Graham suffered from a seizure. Graham was released from the hospital on Saturday morning and has rejoined the Saints.
On the previous evening, Jimmy Graham, the tight end for the New Orleans Saints, experienced a medical incident that left him disoriented. Local law enforcement took him into custody and transported him to a local hospital for evaluation.
Dr. John Amoss, following his assessment, indicated that the incident was likely a seizure. Graham spent the night under medical supervision and underwent tests. Dr. Amoss, who personally attended to Graham at the hospital, continues to oversee his care during this time.
Graham was discharged the next morning and has joined the team as they prepare for their game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
According to reports, Graham’s arrest occurred after the police received a call regarding a suspicious individual exhibiting erratic behavior. Police officers found Graham wandering the streets, and during the attempt to arrest him, he allegedly resisted.
Graham’s arrest was reportedly on the grounds of suspected influence of a controlled substance and charges of resisting, delaying, and obstructing a police officer, as stated by TMZ. Both of these charges are categorized as misdemeanors.
As the New Orleans Saints get ready to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, it remains uncertain whether Jimmy Graham will be available to participate in the upcoming game.
